Hi All, I have exciting news I want to share but before I do I want to apologize for not being on since Mother's Day. I had so many orders to complete and I got busy. But after that, I honestly, just didn't make time to blog. I have been busy though, crafting and starting up a business. Yes, you heard right! A business. I have always made things for family, friends and myself. Other people have seen my work and have asked me to make things for them. I've always dreamed of having my own business and what a better combination than to have a business of my own doing what I love?? I couldn't be more excited!! I will be selling my handmade goods on Etsy. I choose the name Little Frills Boutique. I will have a variety of items in the shop as any boutique would. I will have jewelry, hair accessories, charms for scrapbooking or whatever you want to do with them, cute aprons, little girl clothes, baby girft such as blankets, burp cloths and bibs, and maybe some home decor. I've been busy setting things up and some of the stuff I've designed are business props. Here's a banner I designed...

Mother's day rose bouquet

Ok I orginally posted this first before the other bouquets but only the pic came out, not what I wrote so I'm posting it again. That is why its out of order as you can see, this rose bouquet post, then the  plaque and then the orders I got for the rose bouquets. Oops. Lol. I tried to edit the original posting but no luck.
Anyhow, this is the first bouquet I made using an Ellinee template for the roses. These are all hand cut, inked and put together. Can you say "handmade" lol. No cricut or dies used here. I added a butterfly and put them in my own personal pink bucket for the time being. I will change it out to a different bucket later. I just love love the way they came out. I will be tweaking them a tad and adding ribbon, more butterflies and a tag that says happy mothers day all in a silver bucket. Ok I think I got it right this time. Ha ha. Have a great day!

Mother's Day Plaque

Hi again. I'm posting this Mother's day plaque I made. I didn't just want to have flowers to give to moms but also a keepsake with endearing words that she could cherish. So this is what I came up with.
It's a 7x9 white canvas that I inked/aged with Tim Holtz distress inks and stamped the flourishes. I made the cabbage roses using my Donna Salazar rose dies, inked them and added added pearl centers. I also used my McGill star flower punches for the star flower. I printed out the saying and adhered it to patterned paper, inked it and adhered it to the canvas. It also has a cord that I attached to the back so you can hang it. I think its the perfect size, not too big, not too small. If you didn't want to hang it, you could buy an easel for it to sit on and place it a top of a counter, end table, desk, mantle or where ever. Well I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did. Thanks for visiting. Til next time...

Mother's Day bouquets

Hello there, here are some of the bouquets I made for orders that I got. I made 2 of a mixed color bouquet, an all yellow with a red center and an all pink one. I have another order for an all purple bouquet that I'm working on and will post pics soon. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for visiting.

Silver turquoise necklace

I hadn't made jewelry in awhile so I decided to make a few necklaces.

Up first is a silver and turquoise necklace. I love the stacked rings over the turquoise stone. The pendant is interchangeable too. Love that!

Angel bracelet

Hi all, hope all is well. Things have been busy as usual but good. This weekend I worked on some bracelets that I got orders for.

I made the Angel bracelet. In the first pic I made one adult size which is in the middle and two child size bracelets, which are on either side.

In the second pic, is a child size pink bracelet and two adult size black/clear bracelets. I love the way they came out!!

Angel bracelets

I forgot to post this project after I completed it so I'm posting it now. I am working on some projects that I will be selling that are inspirational or symbolic of hope, peace, strength, faith, love, courage, etc.
One of my ideas that I wanted was an angel. I wanted to make an angel you could wear. So I came up with these beauties. It was late in the night when I made these angels but I love how they came out.
I wanted to make something with them so I came up with a simple yet cute bracelet.
They are also charms just as you see them and can be made into a necklace.

Spring dresses

Hello all, I know its been a bit since I posted but we were dealing with lots of illnesses these last few weeks.
I was feeling better finally and made some spring dresses for my daughter that I wanted to share.
We had gone to the fabric store and she picked out both the fabrics.
It was my first time making clothes for her and it was simple with the design pretty much done for you. All I had to do was hem and sew together the open ends and make straps to sit on her shoulders. I think they came out adorable. My daughter loves them. I think I will try something a little more challenging next time.

My Valentines

Happy Valentine's day all! Hope you had a wonderful day spending it with loved ones, family and or friends. I just wanted to share with you what my kiddos gave me for Valentine's.

First up is a Valentine from my 5 yr old son who learned how cut out hearts at school. He was so excited to show me that he knew how to make one. I love it!

Next up is a Valentine from my 4 yr daughter. She had to follow in big brother's footsteps and make one. I had to help her make the heart tho. She did the rest. Even tried writing her middle name and her nickname. So tute as she would say.

I will cherish these forever. Happy Valentine's Day again.

Lotsa Hearts

Wow I am a blog-a-holic today. I guess I'm making up for missing the last few Sundays. Since I was blogging on Sundays. Lol lol. I have to get better and post my projects as soon as I can.
Well, I made the heart bracelet last Friday but the earrings this morning.
~For the bracelet, its a sterling silver chain and Swarovski crystal hearts.
~The dangle earrings are sterling silver and Swarovski crystals as well. My sister in law gave me this pair of earrings, one side she completed and the other one I had to put together. She designed a beautiful earring.
~The second pair of earrings are Swarovski crystal hearts and a silver plated fan.

I love the way they are all unique but tie together and can be used as a set. I hope you liked this project as much as I do. : D

Here's a different view

Blue garden bracelet

Hi all! Happy Sunday! How has your Sunday been? I can't complain about mine. I've been busy working in this garden bracelet and here is the finish product. Voila! I just love the colors in it. All the different shades of blues is so eye catching. I made this for my M.I.L sister who's in town visiting. She loved the red one I made for my M.I.L. but she loves blue. I hope she likes it. I pick out each and every bead and string it with one string so they are durable. No two bracelets are the same even if you order two of the same color. Each one is custom and unique. They are all handmade by me. : D hope you enjoyed my project and thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone, Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a good but safe time ringing in the new year. I didn't do too much, kept it low key. We went over to a friend's house and ate and hung out. I've been dealing with my sinuses for a few weeks now and I was feeling a bit under the weather.:(
I started this blog back in nov of 2010 and tried to blog for 2011 but wasn't able to keep up. But this year I want to make a point to post on here at least once a week with projects or even just me sharing my thoughts. So here we go.... :D
I was able to craft some today with my bestie, Martha. Yay! We try to get together every Sunday if we can and do a lil something. I worked on a bracelet that I'm making my M.I.L for her birthday which is this coming Thursday. I will post pics when I'm done though. :)
A resolution for this new year is to craft one thing a day, at least one thing a day if I can. Lol. We'll see how that turns out with me working full time, being mom to 2 little ones and a teen, spending time with the honey and household chores. But my first and foremost resolution for this new year is to be positive and have a positive state of mind at all times even when things get rough.
2011 was a tough year and was the hardest year for me concerning my mom. I lost her back in 09 and this last year by far has been the hardest. This is the first person I was close to that I've lost. So needless to say....I've been a little lost. But I'm going to work on getting back myself and redefining who I was to who I want to be.
And of course the most common resolution, to lose some weight. To be healthier and in great shape. I'm gonna make this year MY YEAR to SHINE and I'm starting out with acceptance of what is and hopeful to what can and will be.
So with that said, I'm wishing you all many blessings in happiness, love, health and success. Make it a great year!!
